PGDM Course Admission – GENERAL ((Intake – 240 Seats) [I & II Shift])

PGDM Course Admission – General, is AICTE approved PGDM in Pune and is a two years’ full-time course comprising of four semesters. Specializations offered in the purview of the Course are PGDM in Marketing, PGDM in Finance and PGDM IN Human Resources Management. Each functional specialization articulates a wide choice of electives such as Banking and Financial Services, which provide flexibility in course selection and prepares students for placement in their choice of Industry. Aided by modern communication and information technology, PGDM at ISBS has high operational efficiency and effectiveness. The flexibility afforded to the PGDM Course keeps the students abreast of the trends in the field of business and assures more excellent articulation of the same. Students with any stream of graduation can pursue the PGDM Course.

The assessment for PGDM Course from ISBS – which is ranked 28th among top B – schools in India is a Choice – Based Credit System (CBCS). Its assessment is captured through the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) system.

Students from various academic backgrounds are eligible for PGDM Course in Pune. Hence, in the first semester of the program, students are exposed to the different fundamental concepts of Management. Along with this student is also given exposure to the dynamics of Accounting, Statistics and Quantitative Techniques, Business Law, Communication Skills & Managerial Economics. Additionally, skill-based subjects such as Skills Enhancement Lab, IT Skills Lab, to name a few, help to enhance the students’ managerial skills.

Specialization commences in the second semester, in which students learn about the functional area of their choice in great detail. Students can opt for any one Specialization form the available three – PGDM in Marketing, PGDM in Finance and PGDM in Human Resources. Based on the choice of PGDM specializations offered of Marketing, Finance and HRM, at the end of the first year, the students are required to undertake project work assignment (PGDM Summer Internship Program) in an organization. The project assignment is intended to allow the students to sharpen their knowledge and skills in their final career. The PGDM Summer Internship Program is of a duration of 60 days, and a detailed project report of the dissertation is submitted for full grade evaluation after the completion of those above before the beginning of the second year.

The outline for our PGDM course in Pune follows a choice based credit system. Essentials in management are delivered through core courses. Electives in specialization core offer the students an opportunity to choose inputs to design their career by focusing on higher-end data from the various sector or functional combinations. The course design provides students with the opportunity to build competencies in verticals such as Sales gradually; Consultancy; Projects; Market Research etc. Continuous evaluation of students forms an integral part of the curriculum. Forty percent of the review is continuously done, and sixty percent is devoted to semester end assessment. PGDM Course Admission in Marketing 1st Shift – Intake 60 Seats

PGDM Admission in Marketing is AICTE approved PGDM course and is a specialized two years course in PGDM Marketing. In the emerging environment, marketing management, with its customer-centric focus, assumes an official status. This philosophy reflects in the PGDM in marketing curriculum, and the flexibility according to the program keeps the student abreast of the trends in the field of business and assures more excellent articulation of the same.

PGDM in marketing curriculum prepares the students for functional specialization in Marketing. In this program, besides general management input, students are offered sectorial specialization electives in terms of preparing for a career in these sector verticals. ISBS PGDM Marketing in Pune, students can specialize in function-sector combination through the electives offered. Additionally, skill-based subjects such as Skills Enhancement Lab, IT Skills Lab, to name a few, help to enhance the students’ managerial skills. To prepare the students for industry-specific requirements, a course on C2C (Campus to Corporate) Marketing is included in the curriculum. At the end of the first year, the students are required to undertake a project assignment – Summer Internship Program.

Summer Internship project assignments at Best PGDM colleges in Pune are intended to allow the students to sharpen their knowledge and skills in their selected Industry Sectors and also serve as a stepping stone in their final career. ISBS does provide these opportunities. The Project Work Assignment Program is of a duration of 60 days, and a detailed project report of the dissertation is submitted for full grade evaluation after the completion of those above before the beginning of the second year. In the second year, the students undergo intensive training in specialized marketing subjects with stress on learning through case studies and field projects of actual interaction within the industry.

Continuous evaluation of students forms an integral part of the curriculum. Forty percent of the review is continuously done, for the remaining sixty percent evaluation is done through a written test at the end of each semester for which an external panel does question paper setting and assessment.

PGDM Course Admission Eligibility

Following process depicts Course eligibility for PGDM Admission in Pune.

Eligibility for PGDM admission in Pune – A candidate is declared eligible if he/she has passed the degree examination of a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks and a minimum of 45% marks for backward class from any state in India. Such a candidate’s application must be accompanied by relevant caste certificates and non- creamy layer certificates at the time of confirming the admission. Absence of such documents at the time of submitting the Admission application forms for PGDM admission to the course disqualifies them from reserved category seats, and such candidates will be considered for the open/general category. Final year degree students, who have not received their result will be allowed to appear for the admission process, provided at the time of taking admission they have a certificate from their college/university about being a final year student awaiting result.

Before applying for PGDM admission process for ISBS PGDM Course in Pune, candidates must have a written test score of any of the following tests: AICTE – CMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/ G-MAT/ MAH-CET or should be appearing for any one of these tests and produce Test Scorecard at the time of admission if shortlisted.

Candidates will be shortlisted for PGDM admission in Pune to its mentioned courses based on Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) – 2020-21.

PGDM Admission Process.

PGDM admission course in Indira School of Business Studies is administrated under ICAP Process 2020 -21. The details of the same are as follows –

Process for ICAP – 2020-21

Stage 1: Registration for ICAP

Candidates are required to fill up the ICAP online registration form for GD, PI and Counselling, available on www.icap.indiraedu.com

Online registration for ICAP process will start from November 05, 2019 and will be closed on March 30, 2020 for the candidates appearing in Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Raipur & Kanpur.

For Pune location ICAP Registration will close on 10th April 2020.

Stage 2: GD, PI & Counselling Process

Candidates are required to present in their choice of the city for ICAP process of GD, PI and Counselling. The GD, PI and Counselling process was conducted in the following cities on the dates mentioned against them:

March 21, 2020 – Pune

April 04, 2020 – Indore, Nagpur, Ranchi & Lucknow

Co-curricular inputs under PGDM Course: Career and Leadership Development Program (CLDP)

PGDM course at ISBS focuses on skill development of students, which is imparted through the Comprehensive Career and Leadership Development Program (CLDP). CLDP is an integral part of Co-curricular teaching and learning for the PGDM course. The CLDP has been developed to Fulfil the requirement of personality and professional skills for the enhancement of employability expertise of the students. ISBS conducts the Co-curricular Program (CLDP) concurrently with the curricular input, which makes ISBS PGDM course unique and comprehensive.

Objectives of PGDM Course- Career and Leadership Development Program (CLDP):

Enhance personal and professional skills through application-based learning.

Equip students with decision making and negotiation skills.

Assists in imparting effective communication skills.

ISBS has collaborated with professional agencies to provide certification courses to PGDM course students in respective domains, such as Technical Analysis, Financial Modelling, Financial Analytics, Job analysis, Competency Mapping, Payroll Management, Innovation Management, Digital Marketing, Personality Development and the like. Such workshops provide insights to students into various predictive tools that can be used in the conduct of work in Industry.

Industry Interface through Seminars and Conferences

ISBS holds conferences and seminars individually and in association with other campuses in the Indira Group of Institutions, and students are associated with these. Under this initiative for the PGDM course, eminent business personalities conduct skill enhancing workshops for the students. On successful completion of the program, the students are graded and certified based on their performance.

The program will focus on having students reflect on their current state and where they want to be in terms of specific Behavioural Competencies and skills.

Field Projects with Industry

ISBS PGDM course students are allowed to be part of field projects with industry. Students are engaged in field projects with companies such as Future Group, Transmission Pvt. Ltd. General Motors India Pvt. Ltd., Capgemini, Saint-Gobain, Thomas Cook, Bajaj Allianz, to name few.

Industry Visits :

Under the ISBS PGDM course, the institute imparts training to students through visits to the industry. The value addition comes by way of observing the processes within organizations and discussions with representatives of the organization. OZONE

For PGDM Course, ISBS provides the students with a skill development activity called "OZONE." In this initiative, corporate professionals train the students to impart skills relevant to face recruitment processes and serve as a bridge-building activity to cater to the expectations of the industry from the management graduates. The industry experts train the students on their interview skills, group discussions and summer internship project presentation. In this program, the students are given insight on how they can portray the applicability of their project work in an organization that will join. This program is conducted in the first three semesters for the students.

XED Intellect

ISBS provides the PGDM course students with analytical training called XED Intellect. This input is provided to students to build a systematic and logical aptitude in their repertoire of skills, to enhance decision making as a management professional. This program is conducted in the first two semesters for the students.

Language Leadership Lab

Communication skills are essential for the enhancement of student’s personalities on the one hand and another to augment their interpersonal skills for people management. ISBS provides English language training along with more beautiful aspects of communication skills and utilizes its provision of Language Leadership Lab (LAB): This prepares students for practical skills such as Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing in the English Language. These sessions are extensive, result-oriented and are conducted by experienced trainers.

To accomplish the objective, ISBS has well-equipped audio-visual “English LAB” with the latest technology to enhance interactive learning. The LAB has software that helps students learn and grade themselves on various parameters. The LAB is developed on the methodology of Listening, Speaking, Writing, Reading skills.
