PGDM in HRM Specialization

Indira School of Business Studies offers PGDM with specialization in Human Resource Management (PGDM in HRM). This is a full-time 2-year post-graduate diploma course and approved by AICTE, India. The eligibility for seeking admission into the program is any graduation degree with an aggregate of 50% marks or above.

PGDM in HRM is a programme that emphasizes the role of HR in businesses today. The students are exposed to the functioning of organizations and are trained to grow into successful and impactful HR professionals.

Human Resource Management (HRM) is an area that offers a numerous career options. A PGDM in HRM opens up a number of career avenues as HR Recruiter, HR consultant, Labour relations manager, Training manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist, Compliance officer, etc. The students are taught several models, tools and techniques developed by academicians as well as consultants.

The students are exposed to live field projects and assignments. Also they get opportunities to interact with leaders and experts in the area of HR. The course is designed to integrate classic HR lessons with modern practices in the area. The students as specifically introduced to sustainability related concepts in the area. Initially, students of PGDM course get an opportunity to work in managerial level positions as Recruitment specialist, HR Generalist, Asst. PGDM in Human Resource Management-Learning Objective

To acquaint students with the essential human resource management concepts, to familiarise them with recruitment, training and other HR functional practices in different industries and to develop core skills such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation and communication to prepare for a professional management career. To make the student capable to manage people processes and practices as well as to deal with business environment complexity and uncertainty.

PGDM in Human Resource Management -Evaluation Parameter

The evaluation system has been designed to foster healthy competition among the students. Students are tested on their ability to understand concepts, acquire behavioural tools, techniques and skills. Application skills are tested through presentations, case studies, role plays, chart presentations, field projects and class and home assignments.

PGDM in Human Resource Management-Teaching Methodology

Faculty members use different teaching pedagogy tools and techniques such as research papers, newspaper based cases, case studies, classroom activities, management games, role plays, research reports, web tools, guest lectures, industry visit, workshops, simulation workshops, certifications, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) and webinars.
